FormscanBy Tom Weekes - EL FABIOLO was top-class in his day and while he was well held in the recent Irish Champion Hurdle, drops in grade and should take all the beating. Conqueror of Jonbon in the 2023 Arkle Chase at Cheltenham, poor jumping proved costly in his later chasing-career but, last December, he returned to score at Punchestown. He faded tamely at the recent Dublin Racing Festival but now drops to a lesser race. Eight-time winner Maxxum retains plenty ability but would prefer a stiffer test of stamina. Soir De Garde has nice ability but hasn’t raced since scoring on his jumping debut at Tramore in April and faces a tough task on reappearance.
