FormscanBy Donal Murphy - Bidding for a fifth win in-a-row, CAVE COURT looks the one to beat with Oran McGill claiming a valuable 7lb. The Noel Kelly-trained six-year-old won three-times in the month of September and has been on a deserved break since his latest win at Clonmel. Up to a career high mark of 117, he may still be ahead of the handicapper. Archies Charm was beaten by just three-parts-of-a-length in this race 12-months ago and the locally trained eight-year-old would be a deserving winner with Ben Harvey aboard. Successful at Listowel in September, Harvey's Quay is sure to have plenty of supporters as he bids to defy a 7lb rise, with Menindee another leading hope, despite disappointing on her most recent start at Cheltenham. With a featherweight on her back, Reddys Island should give a good account of herself, while Soloman Lane, Gateau Du Miel (first time cheekpieces) and Clonmeen are others for the shortlist.
An extended handicap steeplechase for five years old and upwards (123 = 11st 12lbs)Penalties - Winner of a steeplechase after calculation of the handicap shall carry 7lb extra for each steeplechase won.
