FormscanBy Mark Nunan - MASSAMAN has enjoyed a fine season with three wins and has risen 25lb in the ratings. He has a course and distance win to his name and won over 1m2f on his penultimate start. Last time out he finished well when second over 7f at Gowran and connections will be hoping for a strong pace to aim at. Elephant John got home in a three-way photo to land a maiden at Tipperary and that form has been boosted. He’s very unexposed and could run a big race for his shrewd yard. Casanova had no fewer than ten of these behind when runner-up in the premier handicap over this trip at Galway and can give a good account of himself again. That’s Just Dandy has been ultra-consistent off this mark in four starts in handicaps this season and makes each-way appeal along with Thursday’s Navan winner Comfort Line who carries a 7lb penalty. Good Heavens makes his handicap debut on his ninth start and was a ready winner at Cork last month but probably has enough weight.
An extended handicap for three years old and upwards that have run three or more times under any Rules of Racing on or before 15th August, 2022, at least one of those runs having been on or after 1st July, 2021 (105 = 10st)Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 7lb extra for each race won.
