FormscanBy Eamonn Murphy - One run in the point-to-point fields yielded a win for LADY BREFFNI, and she can put that know-how over larger obstacles to good use now, as she begins over racecourse fences. The daughter of Yeats won at Oldcastle in February 2019 when under the care of Dermot McLoughlin, and there’s speed and stamina in her pedigree. She went to Joseph O’Brien after that, for whom she won a Downpatrick bumper, and placed third in a Grade Three mares novice hurdle. The seven-year-old is on a good run for Willie Mullins now, following up a Fairyhouse Easter win with a decent enough effort in another big field, at Punchestown. Back in trip Lady Breffni can account for former Mullins inmate Botani, and Henry de Bromhead’s pair, Havingagoodtime and She Tops The Lot.
