The Getaway gelding has been placed in a couple of handicaps this term and lost any chance with a bad mistake at the last at Clonmel last month. Chosen Diamond made a winning start over fences in a 2m4f Naas handicap in November and reverted to hurdles earlier this year holding every chance when falling at the last in the Navan handicap won by Butty O Brien before filling the runner-up spot behind the progressive Aodhan May at the same venue last weekend. Macdermott won a maiden hurdle at Tramore last spring but hasn’t impressed with his jumping since switched to fences this term including when runner-up to Farmers Lodge at Fairyhouse last time.
