The Wootton Bassett colt made up a lot of ground in the straight, under a hand ride, to chase home the stable first-string The Lion In Winter. With the run under his belt, he'll be hard to beat from a good draw. Once fitted with a visor, Karl Burke's Native Warrior was a big improver in handicaps last season and ran to his new mark when second in a Group 3 at Saint-Cloud in March. East Hampton should progress from his seasonal debut second in a Listed contest at the Curragh.
