The Lope De Vega gelding was last seen finishing mid-division in a very competitive handicap hurdle at Aintree and has a mark of 132 over timber. A rating of 51 on the level obviously catches the eye in comparison and he actually ran a decent race when last seen on the Flat at Killarney last July. The handicapper has eased him 3lb since and there looks a race in him under this code. Lariat came good for Ado McGuinness at Bellewstown last time and off just a 4lb higher mark he should be competitive again here. Rips Dream ran a solid race when third at Gowran last time and having been eased a pound since he's another that has to be on the shortlist.
