FormscanBy Tom Weekes - A brilliant renewal and STATE OF REST can complete an exotic four-timer. Winner of the Saratoga Derby, Cox Plate and Prix Ganay on his last three runs, he handles easy ground and being a four year old, could continue to progress. Dual Dubai Turf winner Lord North, with €4.5m in earnings, dead-heated to win in Meydan in March and while his best form is on good, also handles easy ground. He can be forgiven his Lingfield defeat by Alenquer, which was an all-weather reappearance run, and while his best recent form has been at Meydan, did win Ascot's Prince Of Wales's Stakes, albeit in 2020. Helvic Dream narrowly defeated Broome (11th in the Japan Cup last November) to win last year's renewal but today's race looks stronger. Mac Swiney won last year's 2,000 Guineas and while third in Ascot's Champions Stakes in October, finished last in December's Hong Kong Cup. High Definition returned to form recently but needs to improve.
