FormscanBy Tom Weekes - SAMS PROFILE is a potentially exciting novice chaser and will be ideally suited by the forecast rain. Grade 1-runner-up twice over hurdles, he won the Galmoy Hurdle in January and ran a fine race when third on his second chase start last November at Fairyhouse (won by Monkfish, Munster National winner Ontheropes was second). Indeed he was subsequently found to have had fractured a rib and bruised his lung when falling at Thurles nine days earlier so did very well in circumstances and is well suited by today's trip. Sixshooter was 11L behind SAMS PROFILE in the Galmoy Hurdle and while himself smart, needs to improve a little to beat the selection and makes his chase debut. The Bosses Oscar, runner-up in the Pertemps Final in March, was well held by a smart type at Listowel but is race-fit and was 150-rated over hurdles. Alfa Mix is 133 rated and might struggle to win this.
