FormscanBy Tom Weekes - Melbourne Cup-regular ABSURDE disappointed at Cheltenham but had excuses then and might just get the better of Galway Hurdle winner Ndaawi, and score. Out of Incroyable, ABSURDE has contested three Melbourne Cups and won the 2024 County Hurdle and while he disappointed in the recent renewal, raced too keenly then and erred at the opening hurdles. He should benefit from that reintroduction to hurdling and should settle better. Both the selection and Ndaawi finished third and second respectively in the 2025 County Hurdle and while Ndaawi also disappointed at Cheltenham last month, just 1lb separates him and the selection on official ratings. Very lightly-raced Soir De Garde might finish third.
