FormscanBy Gary Carson - MIGHTY POTTER failed to shine at Cheltenham but can bounce back to winning ways here. The Martaline gelding was considered one of the 'bankers' of the week at the festival but failed to pick up when third to Stage Star. He did hang to his right on the run-in, suggesting something wasn't right, and was reported to be sore afterwards so it may pay to forgive that run. He had looked a star in the making previously with impressive Grade 1 wins at the Dublin Racing festival and in the Drinmore Chase. Willie Mullins saddles six of the nine runners and a couple of the likely dangers. Sir Gerhard ran too bad to be true at Cheltenham when he jumped poorly. He is better than that and it would be no surprise to see last year's Ballymore Hurdle winner produce a much better effort now. Stablemate Appreciate It was half a length behind Mighty Potter in the Turners Novice Chase last month and also didn't look comfortable in the closing stages when hanging left. He is another who is capable of a big show at his best.
