FormscanBy Tom Weekes - DUNVEGAN beat Grange Walk to win over course and distance in November. He was raised 10lb for making all in that November win but meets Grange Walk 3lbs better off today, with that rival winning well at Leopardstown over Christmas. Grange Walk was raised 7lb for his win, is also without his 5lb claimer but should nonetheless run well. Cappuccimix won at Killarney in July and while absent since, today's race is likely to have been his target for some weeks and he has form in similar races last season. Blackbow isn't a fluent jumper but drops in grade for his handicap chase debut and could run well for top connections. Take All was third to Grange Walk at Leopardstown and has place claims while Poseidon was reported to be post-race normal following a disappointing run here in November but, notably, had beaten Grange Walk to win a Grade B chase at Cork in October. Castlegrace Paddy, a triple Grade 2 winner, burst blood vessels at Gowran in October. Soviet Pimpernel has been disappointing over fences and is 2lb out of the handicap but as he gains more experience, could progress enough to win a useful handicap.
