FormscanBy Tom Weekes - CAPODANNO might win. Unexposed, he ran well on handicap debut in a similar race at Fairyhouse recently and being a 5yo, is open to progression and is now proven at this trip and on yielding ground. Botani steps up to 3m for the first time, having finished fifth in the remarkably competitive Paddy Mullins Hurdle in February before beating a subsequent winner at Cork over 2m3f. She is 7lbs higher as she steps up in trip but is out of a half-sister to a Galway Plate winner and could be suited by the extra distance. Minx Tiara is a proven stayer and won well at Ballinrobe latest, but is now 11lbs higher. Carrolls Cottage is another strong stayer and himself competes from a 7lb higher mark than at Limerick and has winning point-to-point form on a sound surface. Floueur is tried in a first-time tongue-tie having run well in the Martin Pipe Hurdle but has plenty weight. Pure Genius has already won at this trip but is 9lbs higher than when winning at Down Royal while Baptism Of Fire's recent form figures are off-putting but was Grade 3 placed last November. Max Flamingo stays well but competes from a career high mark while Dallas Des Pictons was fifth at Cheltenham and previously was very able in this type of handicap. Lynwood Gold has been running well over similar distances recently and is ground-versatile.
