FormscanBy Donal Murphy - CADILLAC has been ultimately disappointing in two starts this year, but might be able to bounce back now in first time blinkers. The Jessica Harrington trained colt raced in the US, France and Bahrain towards the end of last season and was a respectable third on his return to action in April. He since finished sixth of seven in the Mooresbridge Stakes at the Curragh where he may have not enjoyed the yielding ground. Back on a quick surface now and returning to Leopardstown, where he has won twice before, a much-improved performance can be expected. Patrick Sarsfield is also a dual-course winner and the likeable six-year-old is given second preference. He hasn’t managed to win a race since July of 2020 but has acquitted himself well in two starts this year. Georgeville was three-parts of a length behind Patrick Sarsfield when they clashed in the Amethyst Stakes and there is likely to be little between them again.
