FormscanBy Alan Magee - COOL SURVIVOR won twice over hurdles last season including a three-mile Listed novice at Cork and the point-to-point winner has an edge in experience over fences on his rivals. He should benefit from two chase outings this term including when just touched off by Quilixios at Limerick and will be suited by the step up in trip. Embassy Gardens showed a similar level of form over hurdles and impressed when a wide margin winner at Thurles. He ran too free when disappointing in the Albert Barlett at the Cheltenham Festival and it will be interesting to see how he takes to fences. Grand Soir was bought for 160,000 pounds after easily winning a Lingstown point-to-point and completed a hat-trick over hurdles when scoring over this trip at Thurles 12 months ago. Lets Go Champ also won between the flags and should be suited by this test of stamina.
