FormscanBy Tom Weekes - RADIYKA has the benefit of having run two solid races and being by Lope De Vega, wouldn't mind easing ground conditions. Runner-up in a hot maiden on debut, she was a useful second at the Galway festival (the first-past-the-post was a 3yo) and contests a similar looking maiden. Ballydoyle's West Coast is notable being a half-sister to a Group 2 winner and from the family of Galileo. She runs in a tongue-tie and while she potentially smart, is badly drawn widest in 14 on debut and will improve for the run. Alizarine, the mistaken juvenile at Galway, was well fancied on her actual debut in a smart Leopardstown maiden and while well held, is open to progression. Esculanta showed ability on debut at the Curragh while similarly Torn ran well on debut at Naas although both need to improve. Perfect Thunder, a 58,000gns yearling purchase, is out of a winning dam whose sister was a Group winner while Tartan Skirt, second in a barrier trial to subsequent maiden winner Anatoli, was a Gbp85,000 breeze-up purchase and is a sibling to four winners, one being a stakes performer.
