FormscanBy Michael Graham - LAKE CHAD ran a remarkable race for third in Clonmel last month. He had been off for more than two years when he reappeared to be beaten just over a length and a half. That was in a better class of race and the winner of it scored again at Cork on Sunday by four lengths. If Lake Chad avoids the bounce factor on his second run back, he has to have prospects. Viable alternatives are thin on the ground, however, Kristian Goingwel has the ability to get involved. He never travelled when pulled up at Gowran Park in March but, prior to that, he had been in a rich vein of form over fences with a couple of victories and a runner-up berth. He's rated much lower over hurdles but has the lay-off to overcome. Second-reserve Lily Of The Dawn would have better claims than most if getting a run. Peace Party has form in the book to be a factor but soft ground doesn't play to his strengths.
