The Gleneagles gelding was fourth in a competitive contest over course and distance early this month and has been eased a couple of pounds since. His sole win came on the all-weather so a nicer surface may suit now. L L Koulsty is a few pounds out of the handicap but could play a big part. He ran a solid race when fourth here last time and dropping back to seven may suit now. Smoke Them Out wasn’t beaten far at the Curragh last time and is a previous course winner. He’s another for the shortlist.
