He followed up with a close effort in a competitive Class 2 event 12 days ago and looks poised to open his account. SAMANGAN (1) shaped well when fourth on debut at Compiegne in late July and is entitled to progress. ALHAEBA (2) also showed promise when fourth at Dieppe 22 days ago, while EPI (6) remains one to consider.
