FormscanBy John O'Riordan - Although now 12lb higher than when winning easily at Killarney last month, KILLASHEE may be able to defy the handicapper once again. As an in-form mare, who has won her last three starts, the John Ryan-trained nine-year-old should once more make a bold bid from the front. A three-time winner over hurdles, the Martin Brassil-trained Conron is very unexposed in this discipline after just the three starts. An opening mark of 102 could be lenient given that the 10-year-old showed definite promise when keeping on nicely for fourth at Tipperary on his most recent outing. Kilbeggan runner-up Gaelic Des Chastys remains open to further improvement for current connections. A winner on his stable debut in June, the gelding is making just his third start for Eric McNamara.
An extended handicap steeplechase for four years old and upwards rated 0-102Penalties - Winner of a steeplechase after calculation of the handicap shall carry 7lb extra for each steeplechase won.
