FormscanBy Tom Weekes - LONESOME BOATMAN has been lightly-raced in his career todate but has shown good ability on occasions. Runner-up in a Galway festival maiden hurdle in 2021, he achieved a notable third-placing in Punchestown’s Champion Hunters Chase at Punchestown and had a recent reappearance run behind two capable types in November. One of those horses, Rocky’s Howya, finished behind today’s runner West Of Carrig at Limerick over Christmas but three-time point-to-point winner West Of Carrig but might still struggle to beat an on-song selection. Milan Forth has two lengths to find with West Of Carrig on October form and has yet to race at this distance while Fountain House finished second in Punchestown's Ladies Cup and mightn't be suited by this shorter trip.
