Formscan By Michael Graham - TYSON FURY could be the answer to a tricky contest. He's more than useful on the Flat having predominantly raced with a three-figure rating there. He's had three goes over flights and his fourth place in a good maiden hurdle at Leopardstown was a notable effort. It is likely that the soft ground in Tramore didn't suit him when beaten a fair way into second last month. Magico is an obvious danger starting out for Willie Mullins have won three times on the Flat in Britain for Marco Botti. Goodmancon put in a decent shift in third at Tramore while Pure Logic is a consistent sort. Minella Mate hasn't been running badly in Dundalk, while Calzaghi is another interesting recruit from the Flat.

His work has always been good at home. He has plenty of gears. Derek obviously trained him to win his point-to-point and strongly recommended him. I know they often do but he was mad about this fella and he’s a lovely horse going forward. I’ll have a conversation with the owners, but I’d imagine that will be it for the moment and then go jumping next season. We have all summer to think about it.

He was in good form and we were hopeful but, with the rain that fell, we didn't know how he'd handle it. We had been looking for soft ground all along, but he has been running well on good to firm. It is grand for the boys as we only claimed him for €4,000 and he has won twice now. He is fine and will run away. The syndicate is run by Declan Beary from Oola, it involves my father and there are 10 involved. They're have great fun.

He's tough, he's a Shantou and they keep battling,. He gave him a great ride and he stuck at it. He had good runs and we always said he was a good horse. He got a knocked a little when we schooled him and we just had to take our time with him. He had a good run in Gowran the first day behind a Grade 1 horse. I think he'll be grand. He has a little mark on him, but he's grand. If he's not sold sure it's grand to get a day out with one too. We loaded up whoever was around in the hotel at 4.30am and came on here. The horses are going well thank God.

I suppose a little worry carrying that weight - it is hard to give away weight even though he is a very good horse. We love him and can't wait until he goes hurdling. He has been schooled and he jumps well. He doesn't want soft or heavy ground, so it could be spring or summer jumping. We wouldn't mind a day out in (Royal) Ascot with him on the Tuesday in the 2m4f handicap. We will probably run him in that for the owner.He'll stay on nice ground there. We think a bit of him, he has been rated that high since he was a three-year-old. He has a big profile and has run in a lot of big races, and he was unlucky to meet the horse (Elegant Man) the last day here. I'm delighted for my mum as she has been waiting for a good one since Make A Challenge. He's exciting.
