Forceonmyown is a tough little mare and has a big heart. I wasn’t sure that she’d win a bumper and thought she’d be more one to go jumping. I only had her about three or four weeks before she ran in Limerick and Denis Ahern sent her up to me. He owns her along with a few friends. I’d imagine she will go jumping now.

We thought a lot of her and her work at home has been very good. We were a little bit worried coming here about inexperience as we just had one school in her,. We were a little bit worried about the ground as well and Alex said she only got through it and wouldn't want it any tackier. She is a winter filly though. I think all she'll do is improve, she's a big filly but only a frame. She should hopefully improve a good bit from this. I would have been disappointed if we hadn't been placed in it, I was worried about Willie's as it's hard to beat his in a bumper. We're delighted to see her doing that as she's far from the finished article. I think she's nice. She has a lot of filling out to do and we won't be hard on her. We'll probably give her a run in a winners bumper and then let her off after that. I'd be more thinking of next season with her, she'll be a lovely filly for next autumn and winter when we get her over hurdles.

She's been a nice mare all the time and I thought she couldn't get beat the last day,. For some reason she hung the whole way with Simon Torrens last time, he said he had two hands on one rein. We just gave her a bit of time off, a couple of easy weeks, and started off again. She's done it like I thought she would have done it in Fairyhouse the last day. She's a lovely mare by Walk In The Park. We'll keep her to two-and-a-half or three miles and probably looks for another handicap before going chasing after that. She has a mark over fences, she ran over fences in Clonmel.

It was great to get that. I think the ride won the race to be honest. She’s been a bit disappointing, but I think the cheekpieces maybe got her going. She was having a good look around and had a look at a wing or two. It’s great to get a win out of her. That’s her grade and it’s job done today, anything else is a bonus now after that. She is a good consistent mare and has maybe been a bit unlucky. There was no pace in Clonmel the last day and it was a little bit short for her. She's a good staying mare and she'll be better over fences. She is owned by a real good group of lads from west Tipperary and I'd say there will be a fair session tonight. The man that had her previously just finished up with her and Cian (Quirke) recommended her then to us. She is a nice honest mare, gets a trip well and doesn't like to be in front too long. That's why he was just hanging on and hanging on today. That's what happened with her at Punchestown, we tried to make the running with her and she just didn't like it. She'll keep going in handicaps. Hopefully the handicapper will give her a chance and I'm looking forward to going over fences with her.

That is unbelievable as I never thought I'd experience it,. I have the license a long time and have had a few placed horses down through the years but breaking and pre-training is our main gig. . We have a handful of point-to-pointers, she is the only horse we have for the track and I bred her myself. The Costellos, who have Lough Bar in Limerick city, bought her from me before she won her maiden point to point and were very good to leave her with me. They have been very good and very patient and I'm glad to repay them with a winner. She won two point to points well but for whatever reason, we couldn't get it together on the track. We have now though and this is local to us and to the owners so is great. She was up distance and down in grade today and probably handled the ground better than others. She is a strong mare and is very versatile with ground and trip. She might come back here during Christmas.

The little mare has been game. She was placed in a few bumpers last year and also in maiden hurdles. She’s been knocking on the door and deserved it. I didn’t quite know if here would suit as she didn’t really come down the hill in Clonmel so I told Jack to commit early down the hill today. . Two-and-a-half, going a right good gallop, is probably ideal for her. We held her up a bit the last day over two-miles-seven in Thurles and it didn’t work out for us. We decided to go back and make the running today and keep kicking. In fairness Cian gave her a great ride and she didn’t miss a trick. We’re delighted and we’ll try and get something similar in three or four weeks time. She’ll be a nice mare over a fence next year. She’s a well-bred mare, she’s out of a half-sister to Appreciate It.
