That was nice. I loved her first run here as they quickened twice and I said that was a bit above the ordinary as a maiden. I was tempted to go to the Curragh the last day but Red Letter's form was there so we bypassed that and came back here, to the track she had handled, with a view to the Ingabelle Stakes. That is a race that has been very lucky for us. She did exactly what we thought she'd do. She shouldn't be running as she's so light and immature. She's just so not there yet. It's like Dublin buses. We had a load of horses last year and now, all of a sudden, every filly I have is a nice filly. We're just lucky and it's great. She's good and any other year she'd be your best one. I love having a second bite at a maiden. You get disappointed not winning for a minute but then you walk away and say 'lovely, another maiden, and I don't have to go to a stakes race'. Now she's had two runs and I have an Ingabelle horse, so happy days.

Obviously when we entered her in the Moyglare we thought she was good. She's a nice filly, she was green today but she did it very well. She ran around a little bit when she hit the front but she was entitled to do that. She's never been away. It's great to have her for James and Charlotte (Musgrave), she was impressive. It probably should have been a double but I’d say the filly in the first just parked a little bit in front, and probably wants better ground as well. This filly is a different filly over five. She was drawn one and she ends up over on the stand’s side, she lost a lot of ground to come over but she needs cover. She just runs too keen over the six. She was a little bit unlucky in the Scurry and the last day, she probably should have been third or fourth the last day. She’s a hardy filly, I’d like to try and get a bit of black-type with her. There are no five furlong races but I might look at the Listed race next weekend (Brigid’s Pastures Stakes). I might look at taking her to France next year. She seems to want an ease in the ground.

I wouldn't rule it (Newcastle, Good Friday) out now, but it is just so competitive over there. I think Newcastle would suit her because she would like a stiff six. She’s always been a very good filly,. I ran her in the Birdcatcher and thought she’d win that. I put a tongue-tie on her to see if it would improve her and she didn’t jump and got into all the trouble. She looked like the winner of the race to me but didn’t get the run. I said we’d go back to maidens and we kept bumping into one. She ran a blinder two months ago in Dundalk. Johnny Murtagh’s filly (Songhai) won it and she was third in a Listed race the other day. I’ve always thought she’d a black-type filly but couldn’t win my maiden. I kept coming up against 90 horses so I said we’d just go for a handicap. The last day I ran her back a bit too quick and I saw it wasn’t the thing to do. I said I’d freshen her right up and thankfully the ground has stayed firm, because that’s what she wants. Everyone keeps preaching that she wants seven, I don’t disagree as I think she could stay seven but I think six is her trip. There is a race next week for her but it would be the same mistake again, running her back too quick. It was either the 0-80 against older horses or this. I thought there would be a huge field for this but there were only 12 or 13 entries and seven declared, but it was a hot field. On paper and homework she should win that but she just hadn’t won.

We were never as disappointed with a horse as we were with her in Roscommon last time. We thought she was a very good filly all year, probably one of our best two-year-olds. I don’t know what she’s beaten there today but hopefully the penny has just dropped now and she might go and do something a bit more next season. She is in the Goffs Million, we probably won’t run her back but it’s an option. We were scratching our heads a little bit in Roscommon, she stopped at the furlong pole and probably wasn’t even the winner at the furlong pole. It was just one of those where we drew a line through it and moved on. She got a mark of 70 so this was an obvious target from there and we trained her for this race and thankfully it worked out. We won’t rush into anything now, we’ll get her home and mind her. She might be finished for the season and she could turn up in a good race yet.
