Permission was given for Channagide (USA), Rory's Gold (IRE), Olivia Jane (IRE), Divot (GB) and Zarakerjack (FR) to wear a red hood to post, and for Hamdani Cruiser (USA) to be mounted in the chute.
The apparent improvement in form of the winner, Zarakerjack (FR), which had never previously been placed, was considered.
The representative of Tom Clover was interviewed.
His comments that Zarakerjack (FR) preferred the turf and benefitted from a step up in trip from 1 mile to 1 mile 2 furlongs, were noted and the colt was routine tested.
Following the race, Oisin Murphy reported that Channagide (USA), placed second, was denied a clear run on several occasions over the final 1 ½ furlongs, and Edward Greatrex reported that Rory's Gold (IRE), unplaced, ran too free.
