It was lovely ground for him and he did it well, with an exhibition of jumping,. He really stays and had some really good runs in Paddy Power Chases over the years. It is nice to get him back winning and enjoying life again.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the bend after the finish on the first circuit involving Bartlemy Boy (GB), ridden by Mr Alan O'Sullivan, Willitgoahead, ridden by Mr J.H. Williamson, and Bold Fury, ridden by Mr T.C. Kileff where it appeared Willitgoahead ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned
Mr. J.H. Williamson stated that he went for a gap that closed as he got there and he caught a heel. Mr. Alan O'Sullivan stated that he was outside Bold Fury and kept his line. Mr. T.C. Kileff stated that his horse rolled onto the rail as they rounded the bend. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any individual rider and took no further action other than to remind all the riders to ride with more awareness in future

A steeplechase for ] Certified Hunters five years old and upwards that have between 1st October, 2022 and 12th January, 2026 been placed either first, second, third or fourth in a Steeplechase confined to Certified Hunters in Ireland or in a Point-To-Point Steeplechase in Ireland and that have not won a race under any N.H. Rules or Rules of Racing since 1st March, 2025 other than Certified Hunters Steeplechases or Farmers Races
Weights - 5-y-o 10st 13lbs 6-y-o and up 11st 7lbs. Mares allowed 7lbs.
Penalties - (to count from 1st January, 2024) Winner of a steeplechase 4lb extra Of two steeplechases 7lb extra
