He was a little disappointing on his first couple of runs but progressed well the last day at six furlongs and Wayne (Hassett) said to go to seven the next day. For the first time he went through the race well today and hopefully he can continue to go forward from here. He'll get confidence from today and there is a nice conditions race for him at Listowel in September.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed B.M. Coen, rider of Nakamura, concerning the fact that he appeared to move across before reaching the marker poles. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered evidence from the rider, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that B. M. Coen was in breach of Rule 211 and having considered his regard in this regard (first offence) The Raceday Stewards suspended B. M. Coen for one raceday
G.M. Ryan, rider of Elora Prince, trained by Kieran P. Cotter, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly
Adam Caffrey, rider of Sara La Belle, trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.
An extended handicap for two years old only that are EBF eligible (80 = 9st 12lbs)
