On that occasion David Marnane's charge was prominent and led after a furlong. Asked for more a furlong and a half out by Oisin Orr, the Arcano gelding kept on well inside the final furlong to defeat Smart Stinger and Ahundrednotout by a length and three parts and half a length. The selection got seven pounds for that success but he could be progressive enough to meet the challenge. It'll certainly be interesting to see how he gets on given his trainer's comments after the win. The Tipperary trainer said: "We'll see how he gets on here in a couple of weeks and we'll think about Dubai maybe if he was to get a high enough mark.He could be a horse for the dirt over there depending on how he gets on in a couple of weeks.His style of running would suit the dirt,I think.I had pencilled him to ask Dubai if they'd keep an eye on him,because I know he's only 85 and 90 is the minimum but he's going to be close to that or over it now.I just think his style of running would suit Dubai for the dirt."
