FormscanBy Tom Weekes - PALACE is likely to prove very difficult to beat following a most encouraging debut at Leeopardstown ten days ago. She seemed fairly happy on that soft surface then and caught the eye when staying on under a hands and heels ride. The form of that race has since been boosted by both the runner-up and third placing and if PALACE improves as expected, will be hard to beat. Gorteo is herself a smart looking filly but is at the double disadvantage of having her first run of the year coupled with the fact she has yet to race on soft ground. She, like the selection, has Classic entries and should make it a race if returning at the same level as last season. Leafy Suburb is related to outstanding sire A P Indy and Preakness winner Summer Squall and while she was pitched in at Listed level on debut, needs to improve from that run to win.
