FormscanBy Michael Graham - TYRE KICKER brought up plenty of bets with a lovely round of jumping over Tramore's fences. That was a very promising chasing debut and there should be more to come. He won over 3m when hurdling, so this step up in trip shouldn't be an inconvenience. Lizrona won decisively over an extended 3m at Thurles in December. She was then well beaten in Limerick, but the ground was very attritional. She gets blinkers, Michael O'Sullivan claims 5lb and this ground won't be as testing, so she could bounce back. Ballyadam Destiny kept on well for second over shorter in Cork and certainly has claims. Joy Of Life was another chasing debutant to deliver, this time in Cork. This is a marked step up in trip for him. Made In The Woods came in runner-up in his last two starts albeit by very different distances (a neck and 12 lengths). Highstreetfashion disappointed in fourth behind Made In The Woods at Punchestown, but had won his two previous handicap chases.

he galloped to the line and his jumping was very good today. We did a lot of work on his jumping. Adam reckoned he was in front too soon, with the horse falling (Discordantly, after halfway). He liked him, he said they went a good gallop, increased it the whole way and he thought it was a nice race to ride in. He won his maiden hurdle in Listowel but in handicap company he was struggling a bit. He's a big lump of a horse and obviously this is the next step over fences. He jumped well over these fences and they take a bit of jumping. We'll look for something at Easter time maybe at Fairyhouse. I'm thrilled for (owner) Billy Horgan, who sent me up two horses after Terence (O'Brien, previous trainer) told him a change of scenery might be good for him. It was, as he was a bit roughy there,. I thought I was going to win well but missed the last two jumps. It was probably a blessing because I'd have been in front and I'm not sure if he'd have pulled himself up or not. When I put the stick away he rallied for me. He should have won the last day in Clonmel as he made up ten lengths between all the fences each time, and gave it away again. Sean Flanagan rode him and said if he'd have jumped, he'd have been bang there. I brought him back over hurdles to get him confidence and this is good for the yard. I live down the road in Kilsheelan and was in the army with the late Jack Griffin who was married to Trisha Molony (race sponsors and racecourse owners), so this is a lovely race to win with a lovely trophy too. She was running over 2m4f and just needed a trip. Sean said she was on her head early on and needed the trip. I don't know where she'll run next but the handicapper will probably destroy her! . My last winner was actually here (in 2017) and I only train two horses. I'm retired from the army and only train as a hobby but would like to get a few more horses.
