FormscanBy Alan Magee - All eyes will be on UN ATOUT as the exciting gelding makes his chasing debut after missing all of last season due to a setback. The French-bred is a fine stamp of an individual, and was viewed as a ‘chaser in the making’ during his novice hurdle season. He signed off that campaign with a Grade 1 triumph at the Punchestown Festival and, despite a near 20-month absence since that success, is expected to take high rank in the novice chase division. Mala Beach is the obvious threat. The Beneficial gelding has scored twice at Grade 2 level over hurdles including the John Mulhern Galmoy Hurdle at Gowran Park last term, and made a pleasing start to his chasing career when runner-up to The Tullow Tank at Fairyhouse last month. That experience will stand to him here, and he also rates a very nice prospect over fences.
