FormscanBy Tom Weekes - BAND OF OUTLAWS, with Galway Hurdle aspirations, comes here following an encouraging flat reappearance. Winner of the Fred Winter Hurdle, second in this race and third in the Galway Hurdle, all in 2019, he ran a cracker at Naas and while he lacks recent hurdles form, might win under Jody McGarvey. Mark Walsh rides Hearts Are Trumps and he beat Magic Tricks to win at Punchestown. Both are able types but lack BAND OF OUTLAWS' best ability. Sole Pretender, fifth in the 2019 Galway Hurdle, was beaten in a Grade 1 in April but that was a first experiment at three miles, drops in trip today and won well in early April. Darasso, winner of the 2019 Red Mills Hurdle and a Galway Plate possible, comes here in excellent form but seems better at middle-distances nowadays. A Wave Of The Sea won a valuable Dublin Festival chase but was well held in high class handicaps on recent starts and gives away a Grade 1 winners' penalty. Admirable front-runner Effernock Fizz won at the Curragh on Sunday but has plenty to find on jumps form while Modus and Winter Escape are best watched reverting to hurdles.
