Following the race, Brian Hughes reported that Civil Unrest (IRE), which was pulled up, was never travelling; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities.
The apparent improvement in form of the dead-heated winner, Salto Chisco (IRE), compared with its previous run at Perth on 4th July 2019 where the gelding finished third of six horses, beaten by 29 lengths was considered.
The representative of Harry Whittington was interviewed.
His comments that Salto Chisco (IRE) benefited from a drop in class and a better surface than the rain softened ground at Perth were noted and the gelding was routine tested.
