Legend inflicts pain on Mystic supporters
He might be a nice horse. I thought he'd need the run to be honest as most of mine coming back have been needing the run. I know it wasn't a good race but he was impressive and he might be good enough for some of the better novice races. He is by a French sire (Saint Des Saints) and most of his love the soft ground (Quito De La Roque, Quel Esprit, St Devote etc, etc).
All goes to plan for Noble Prince
It's nice to have his first run over with. When the ground is soft you're a bit worried. Anyhow, there is no point harping on about the ground . when they get to a certain age they have to take on the winter horses. Davy said that was hard to assess there against lesser opposition. On soft ground we wouldn't step him up in trip. He is in the Paddy Power at Cheltenham off eleven stone two and we'll have a look at that and see what happens. We'll also look at all those two mile races for him.
Owega Star is well-named
He surprised me a bit today to be honest. I knew he was a nice horse but today was just a stepping-stone to a four-year-old Listed race here in two weeks time (the Fishery Lane Hurdle on November 12th). I thought that he'd need that run for the experience and it is brilliant that he did that. He'll definitely come back here in a fortnight's time.
Monastrell wins again after his holidays
Faheys dominant at Naas
When he's right he pays his way but when he is not right we have to pay the vets well!. We've been a long time waiting to get him into a decent race like that off a light weight. Emmet gave him a great ride and said that hopefully he'd win another one. There is a similar race for him at Cork in two weeks and he'll probably go there.
Money on Ten Bob proved correct
I'm delighted with that. He had been a little bit disappointing because of the ground. We'll find something similar for him now. He's probably after improving and hopefully the handicapper isn't too hard on him.
Remember the name Don Cossack
He'll go hurdling now. He won't be over-raced this year and he is a horse with a future.
