Tornedo blows strong in the opener
The two and a half miles made a difference to him as he was not jumping with confidence over two miles. He's always been a nice horse and the good ground also helped. He'll stick to two and a half miles plus over hurdles next season, and will probably have a summer campaign on the Flat.
Dr is a handicap Whizz
He looked a winner going to the third last at Gowran last time but they have a famous saying that you don't win at Malachy's, which is a little house next to the course. He had to come here today and prove it. He's been very well the last few weeks and schooled well since Gowran. He's won by nine lengths so Mr O'Brien will probably have a good go at him but I'm delighted to have a Festival winner both for myself and JP.

Appeal kicks opposition to the Kerb
That was a lucky win. His Fairyhouse run was good enough and we might go chasing with him now. I always thought he was a summer horse.
Chris leads the way in Ryanair
We always felt two miles was on the short side for him. I know he won the Arkle but they say you need a two and a half mile horse to win that. We've often talked about going further with him, and ideally we would like to start him off over two and a half miles next season. The Amlin Chase (2m3f) at Ascot or the Haldon Gold Cup (2m2f) at Exeter are possibles. We are half thinking of the King George for him but obviously that's three miles and we don't know about that yet. Richard is very adamant that good ground is what he needs but he's a big horse and would not want it too firm. Soft ground in the depths of winter is not ideal.
Turn Burns off rivals in bumper
Finally a change of luck! She did it very easily and was cantering on the better ground. I couldn't believe how easily she was going. The further she went the further she was going away. She will head over hurdles next season, and she's a brilliant jumper.
