Oh So Charming more than paying his way
Free-going Speisialta keeps going for Staples
She's a Walk In The Park and she does everything at a hundred miles an hour,. You could probably run her again tomorrow, she's that type. She's just tricky and takes plenty of riding at home. She dug her toes in and refused to race one day, and you just have to know her. The main thing was to get her to jump off today. She ran well in her first bumper at Punchestown on heavy, and today's ground was ideal for her.
Luker's Tipple 'has definitely turned the corner'
Justicialism puts it all together in Sligo
He was a bit unlucky in his last couple of chases when he just hit fences at the wrong time but. back over hurdles, he's done it well. Oran wanted to make it, but there were too many who wanted to lead, so he changed plans. I don't give my jockeys too many instructions because so much can change down at the start. He travelled very well and I thought he had it at the bottom of the hill, but he has chucked it away a few times and is a bit of a thinker, so I didn't start shouting till late on!. It's a long time since he won, but he's been touching the door and deserved that.
Ivana D'alco another free-goer to win at Sligo
She's her own worst enemy, and Brian did the right thing by letting her stride on,. He said she half-bolted with him on the way to the start, and she needs the hood as well as the tongue-tie.
In The Minus a positive result for Cawley
Brian fancied him at Galway, but he got stopped everywhere and had no luck at all. He said this good ground is what he wants and he thought, even though he's by Belardo, that this trip would be no problem. He's out sunning himself in Spain at the moment. Shane said his jumping was hit and miss, but that they went too quick and it just played into his hands. He had a lovely run around and won well.
Missouri Snow rewards Slevin in Sligo
She's a nice mare and is very well related on the dam's side. Harry rode her when she won her point-to-point. She was green that day and it sharpened her up. When we didn't get her sold (at Cheltenham in April), we said we'd rock on with her. We quietly fancied her, but you never know what you're coming up against in a bumper. She went through the gap quickly when it opened, and it was a good performance. We've had a bit of success at Sligo. Our horses seem to act well around here, so we're happy to keep coming back.
