An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final furlong when GREEN FORTUNE, placed second, ridden by Mark Crehan, interfered with ACRUX, placed fifth, ridden by Adam McNamara. Being a 7ib claiming apprentice, Crehan was accompanied in the enquiry by a senior rider. Crehan was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he had allowed his mount to drift right-handed without sufficient correction causing ACRUX to be taken off its intended line for a number of strides.
