The five-year-old stays this trip well and, after nearly six months off, ran creditably in a higher grade at Navan at the end of March. Colin Keane is a noteworthy booking for recent hurdles winner Royal Belief. He had a good run on the Flat in a Listowel festival handicap in September and could be on a nice mark. Dual-purpose mare You Make Me Smile won four times last year with two of those victories on the Flat. She was well behind the selection at Navan but will be better for that comeback run. %0A

That is job done although it wasn't an easy watch. Ben said he probably wants further and made hard work of it. His jumping had been letting him down every day, but he is gradually getting better. He is far from a natural jumper and lost a lot of ground today, but he has an engine. I bought him for €6,000 (out of John ODonoghue's yard) and thankfully the (Del Boy) syndicate, who are great supporters of ours, bought him. The race in Roscommon we were delighted with her. We only got her after she ran over hurdles in Ballinrobe, I got her that evening on the way home. We didn't have a whole lot to do with her, Rory is in Cormac's (Farrell, former trainer) and he had a lot done with her. She ran very well for me in Roscommon and I was delighted, so really fancied her coming here today because she was going very well at home. She settled at home and the same here. She was gamey, she's in good form. I have her in for next week in Thurles and we'll see how she is. We won't rush her back either because she gives it all. The grandson there, James, it is good for him as he took the day off school. He does everything with her at home, so I'm delighted for him. Won in my wife's colours, unfortunately she couldn't be here today as she had to work - somebody has to bring in a few bob!
