Galway Mon, 9th Sep, 2024  The Wallpark He has his own way of doing it, but has an engine and is a grand honest horse. Jack said if they had gone faster it would have suited better, as he didn't like being in front. He definitely wants three miles and we'll go to Cheltenham for a Pertemps Qualifier in October now. He's a good horse and will go chasing next year.

Kilbeggan Fri, 6th Sep, 2024  Pray Tell He had good form. I was worried about the trip, I dropped him back a lot, but I said I'd take a chance,. He won well, he's a lovely horse. We might go for another hurdle, we'll see how he comes out of this. . He got boxed in at Galway and Phillip (Enright) said to me that the next day he'd take beating. He was happy with him. It was maybe a big quick for him in Galway, he's not the fastest horse. I'm just so happy he won this evening. He's a three-miler really. I was worried about the going but Johnny said he went away well and he was happy enough.

Ballinrobe Mon, 26th Aug, 2024  Tell Me This her form-figures would put off many a jockey from riding her but Tom knows her well, she is actually very good to jump and will jump a fence in time. She's a lovely big mare which we got from Nina Carberry and she had been unlucky until now, although had a very good first run for us in a competitive maiden hurdle at Downpatrick. There were plenty of fancied horses today and she has probably handled that ground better than the summer horses.

Killarney Sat, 24th Aug, 2024  Ask Cillian I was hoping she would be in the top four and maybe placed, but didn't think she'd run that well. She is a nice filly and deserved her win. I have my license over a year, that's my second winner and it is a family business, with people who help out. Jack is local to me in Monivea so comes in to school for me and we've ten horses in at the moment.

Galway Sat, 3rd Aug, 2024  The Wallpark We thought the step up in trip would suit him, he was very tough and I’m delighted for (owner) Fran (Mangan), who put his money down and bought him and is now getting his rewards. Beacon Edge also ran a great race under top-weight to finish fourth and the whole way through his career he has been a right horse, but is difficult to place. The winner is a horse on the way up and it was almost the toss of a coin for which one Jack would pick and there was nothing between them in the race. It was a nice pot to win and The Wallpark could now end up trying to qualify for a Pertemps Final at Cheltenham. Fran is actually down in Kerry playing golf today, so I’ll give him some stick over that! I’m delighted for him.

Kilbeggan Fri, 17th May, 2024  The Dasher Conway In fairness to Donagh he gave him a super ride. He made a bad mistake and crept his way back into it. I was worried that we wouldn’t catch the horse in front but he’s battled on well after the last. He was in great form and had a good run in Punchestown where he ran on well from the last and we thought back in grade this evening would suit him. It’s been a great day. That’s my first double in Ireland. I had a double before in England.

Killarney Mon, 13th May, 2024  Littlebiggie She was running well last winter but if she had been younger, I wouldn't have run her during the winter but it was just to get the experience into her. She had been buzzy and I won't say she was a handful but was just that little bit babyish. That ground, jumping out smartly like that and the trip were important to her. She doesn't quicken but has a good high tempo and is a nice one to have for the summer. You'd like to think she'll be a better mare over fences too as she jumps great. Liam (Quinlan) is in with me, so knows her and knows how to ride her, and Martin (Hogan, owner) is from right across the road.

Killarney Sun, 12th May, 2024  Senecia That was wonderful and we have him since he was a foal. As a three-year-old we failed to sell him and he became a covid carry over so today was a big day,. We reverted back to this distance, he has a good cruising speed and Philip gave him a great ride. He was near enough at the last (when Icare Desbois exited) and got there so that's the main thing. He might go to Galway now and good ground suits him. It has been bottomless during the winter and no matter where we went, there was rain coming. Vincent has five horses and we have a small operation. The competition is strong where ever you go and this is great. The last big pot I won was the Fortria Chase with Arctic Skipper.
