Gowran Park Fri, 2nd Oct, 2026  Gino Bella That was very good. The weight was a big help, off 10-2,. We had her in the Listed race tomorrow, but she would have been completely out of it on ratings, so it was an easy decision to come here today. Alan knows her well and gave her an ideal ride. She doesn’t have to be in front, so he took a lead for as long as he needed to. She looked to have them off the bridle from a long way out. It was very straightforward. She’ll get a break now and all being well she’ll come back for the mares’ handicap hurdle at the DRF. She’ll go chasing after that.

Cork Mon, 3rd Aug, 2026  Gino Bella She had been consistent in the 0-100 grade although it took her a while to win one. While you would think you're well-handicapped, then you bump into one like Timurshah who wins four-in-a-row, so there always seemed to be one better. At least today she had a nicer weight. Alan almost has a 'free' 5lb claim and she jumped, travelled and did everything right. She is well-bred so getting black type into her would be ideal. She isn't a winter mare, so I'm not sure if the Byrnes will come back with her next season. If she does return next year, she will jump fences so she would have the option of getting black type in chases.
