Bellewstown Thu, 2nd Jul, 2026  Micasso He's a different horse this year, he's a much stronger horse. He's a different animal altogether. He chipped a bone in his knee, and we sent him up to the vet Eric Smith in Armagh and whatever he says, I would believe. He's called Micasso because the man (Michael Keogh) who bred him likes to paint!. He had a good run in Cork last year and we ran him again afterwards in Dundalk when we were trying to put another winner in Colin's (Keane) list. In actual fact, I think he burst. He had finished for the year at that stage. Seamie and I have been playing around for years, this is a hobby for me. This is our first winner together. As he said, he is riding in the German Derby on Sunday, and he just wanted a bit of confidence! He has it now!

Curragh Sun, 28th Jun, 2026  Genesis I know he’s a very fast horse; I’ve always said that. He’s had bits of problems with his wind, and he’s had a couple of jobs done on him. It seems to be working this year. He’s shocking pacey at home and that’s why I said I’d bring him back to five. We tried him at Cork the last day, it was his first time at it, and I’d say it was a shock to the system. Before this we’ve been riding him to try and get home but today I said to Wesley to go out there and ride him from the front. He did everything that he was asked. The Curragh has been very lucky for us and we’re after nailing a few big handicaps. He’s in again at Bellewstown on Thursday. I’m not sure if he’ll run; we’ll see what the handicapper does.

The secret to him is good ground. He actually wants it a little bit faster than it was out there. I only inherited him last year and, he had his problems as I said. It's great to get him back as he has plenty of ability and, hopefully along the way we'll get it out of him.
