Dare To Flare He lost his chance at the start at the Curragh the last day and nearly lost it again today but he does that. He is after throwing away so many races that way,. I'll step him up to 1m2f as well and I'd say he could go jumping eventually. Being by Dandy Man you wouldn't think it but he is tough and keeps going on soft ground. I don't see why not and we didn't jump him yet but he is a good athletic horse so I'd imagine he'd jump.

Last Opportunity That's grand. He was green and today's race was about qualifying him, giving him experience and hopefully winning on route to the sales race on Champions Weekend. He has breezed but that's the first time I have galloped him on grass. He has a great temperament. The negative is that we've won with a few Dandy Mans first time and they haven't done much after that but the positive is that he's a nice horse and has a great temperament. He's been trained with the sales race in mind and that's the next target.

Dare To Flare He ran a lovely race in Limerick and we kind of fancied him coming here today,. He has a problem with the stalls, he missed the break again today but still won. He's probably a bit better than he's letting on. He'll go to Galway on the Monday night now for the three-year-old handicap. He should get in after winning that. That was always the plan. He'll come up the hill as he's tough. We just can't get him to break well enough. He probably should have won a maiden at Dundalk but he got left at the start several times during the winter and then we left him off. He had a lovely run in Limerick, when he needed the run, and we aimed for this race so it's worked out.

Croughavouke She ran well in Navan the last day and we thought she'd improved a good bit and it worked out well and she stayed well,. She is a nice filly, we thought a bit of her coming here and we'll look for a bit of black-type with her now; she might go to England for black-type.

Cool Vixen She ran well in a barrier trial here and Niall said she knew what she was doing. The barrier trials are a great help, and the little bit of rain just took the sting out of the ground which probably helped the two of them. In the spring we thought we had a nice bunch, and then they took a bit of a dip when the weather was bad at the beginning of May. We had to sit and wait with them and now they have come back. The colts need to pull their socks up now! I’ve only had a few of them placed and they need to start to win.

Count D'orsay I'm pleased for the horse as much as anything,. It's very hard to place a three-year-old over five furlongs in this country. They are all six furlong races or else you are taking on the older horses. He's goes to the July Sale. He's probably off quite a good mark on the basis of that so hopefully someone will pick him up. He's a sound little horse and is very straight-forward. He's fairly easy to recommend.

Piper Bomb I knew she'd like a bit of juice in the ground and she had been the bridesmaid here twice before. She blew up in Gowran the last day and I knew she'd come on from it. She is a low grade handicapper and we'll find something else before the year is out. She is belonged to a group of lads who have been with me since 2006 and I trained the dam (Distant Piper) who won six or seven races. They bred her themselves so it is great.

Nitro Boost I kind of did it backwards, when she was placed the last day in the Listed race she went up 10lb,. Billy (Lee) was keen to ride her but I said 'she'd have 9-10 there, I'll have to take some weight off because she's only a small filly'. Nathan is riding well and gave her a lovely ride. She quickened up nicely and when the horses came to her she quickened again. We'll probably go to Ayr for a three-year-old only fillies race there on the 22nd. The Land O'Burns Stakes.

Plough Boy He was dropping back in grade I suppose but he's a very genuine horse. He gives everything and is easy going. Whatever happened in the stalls wouldn't faze him. It's great to get a win back on the board with him. He won at Ayr last year so we'll probably send him back over there for a nice pot. We'll campaign him in and around that and also look at Bellewstown which is a local track for the lads. That's 13 he's won now and he's won 10 for us. He's been great, he's such an easy horse to train and I wish we had a few more like him.

Stormy Belle The tongue-tie seems to be working,. We had her in the Curragh and she worked well but that was it. We came here as we had to make a start and this race looked lovely for her. I said coming here that if I finished in the first three I'd be very happy as it was a good race. You could go somewhere to gallop but it was €18,000 for going and running. You couldn't even say that's she's better fresh as she ran twice in Galway and would have won the second day if she had got out. She ran a week later then and won. She's just improving with age. She didn't go in foal last year and we had it down to the final days but when we got her checked she wasn't in foal. We'll look for a similar race if I can come across one. We'll see can she up it and we want to get a bit of black-type if we can. She's nearly entitled to get a bit, to be placed or whatever. That was good because she gave a blow going to the line and still held on, there is improvement in her.

Lady Kaya Everyone kept asking me about her, and what a bad tipster I am. I was really worried about her staying the trip on the ground,. At the back of my mind in the bits and pieces we've been giving her I wasn't sure she was going to stay. I said to Robbie today to just let her jump and travel and keep her together. He said it was like a piece of work and that she'd blow harder at home. She has Guineas entries and I was really worried she wouldn't stay the mile but the way she won that you'd have to go for the Guineas. Well done to Joanne because it was such a brave move to hang on to her. I'm so lucky to have her and everybody at home has done a great job. They knew just not to talk to me this morning! The other horse that was to run (Breaking Story), I was really looking forward to running him, had a stone bruise so the yard was a bit quiet this morning.
