Down Royal Fri, 31st Oct, 2025  Some Song We were fortunate winners, obviously, but he's a nice horse. Darragh said he just got a bit tired after he jumped the third last and they just quickened away from him. Delighted for Mike Roden, his first winner, and he is one of the owners of the racecourse. We said we would come up and give him a run, and didn't think we would be winning, but there you go - happy days, we are delighted!

Wexford Sun, 26th Oct, 2025  Cathryns Ruby She ran well in maidens but then disappointed and she's not the most straightforward filly to train. She has her issues, but when things are right, she's right. . I thought dropping back in grade today to a 0 to 100 that it would have to give her a chance and I didn't mind not claiming off of her for that reason. . I actually have to apologise to Alex Harvey because I was sure he was in Galway. Alex normally rides her but I put down Sean as he rides out at home as well. It was my fault, but Alex will be on her another day. . She's out of this grade now but she'll go for something similar and I hope the ground doesn't get too soft. . Gerard Berkery is from Tipperary but he had a horse at home I'd say around 15 years ago. We knew him from before and he rang me back at the start of the season asking would we take this filly.  . It's great that it has worked out and she will go breeding eventually. Hopefully we can get another win into her.

Thurles Thu, 16th Oct, 2025  Run For Mahler She probably repeated her Listowel run as she beaten by probably a graded mare then. She got in under a few hurdles today but it is her first day racing over the new white hurdles, so hopefully that was the reason.

I haven't looked at the programme but we could now have a look at getting black type before the good mares come out.

Gowran Park Sat, 4th Oct, 2025  Ag Obair Go Crua He was the runner I really fancied today as my others probably needed their runs. Darragh being on board is worth an extra stone and he is an unbelievable rider, and especially on this type of horse. We have had him a while so I'm delighted to get his head in front. He likes ease in the ground. The main man David Whittey in the syndicate is from Waterford and he got a few of his friends together. The horse hadn't been straightforward so the lads had to be patient but thankfully it has all worked out.

Down Royal Fri, 29th Aug, 2025  Run For Mahler She enjoyed the galloping track. We thought she was a bit unlucky in Tramore and she was getting the allowances tonight. He gave her a good ride and he will get opportunities as he is good value for his 7lb claim. She will go hurdling now. She has schooled and she jumps well.

Ballinrobe Mon, 25th Aug, 2025  Ladies Well That’s great. She’s the lowest rated horse we have in the yard. We were hoping she’d win one and hopefully she wins another little one somewhere. We rode her too handy here in her first handicap and probably learned from that. I don’t know if there’s anyone better than Cian to ride one like that. He’s very good to drop one in and judge the pace.
