Punchestown Sat, 2nd May, 2026  Place De La Nation She has been knocking on the door being placed at Cheltenham and in a Grade 1 at Fairyhouse, so is a high-class mare. That said, she did need the other two (stablemate Jade De Grugy and Wodhooh) to cut each other's throat's and that probably is what happened. We thought it would be hard to go up against the geldings in the novice race and while we had been trying to split up our runners, she wasn't qualified to run in the Listed mares' novice hurdle. This then looked the race she had the best chance of winning. I thought it was a great run by Jade De Grugy but I think Paul (Townend, her rider) and Jack (Kennedy, on Wodhooh) probably ended up almost taking each other out. Danny got the fractions race, as he always does, and is lethal in that second-string role.

Kilbeggan Fri, 24th Apr, 2026  Master Haku He’s actually a grand horse. To be honest, I wasn’t even that keen to run him only for that fact that Jack is going for the championship. I think there is plenty of improvement in him, you can see the size of him, he’s having a real good blow there. Jack was happy with him and said he did everything grand. He had two nice runs, but pulled a muscle behind and that’s why we ended up missing so much time with him. I think there will be plenty of improvement. I might give him the month of May off and then see how we go.

Kilbeggan Fri, 24th Apr, 2026  Master Haku He’s actually a grand horse. To be honest, I wasn’t even that keen to run him only for that fact that Jack is going for the championship. I think there is plenty of improvement in him, you can see the size of him, he’s having a real good blow there. Jack was happy with him and said he did everything grand. He had two nice runs, but pulled a muscle behind and that’s why we ended up missing so much time with him. I think there will be plenty of improvement. Fairyhouse Mon, 6th Apr, 2026  Proactif This lad is a brilliant jumper. He never travelled or never jumped at Cheltenham, so the bit easier ground today suited him perfect. Sean went a nice gallop but once they jumped the hurdle out of Ballyhack he kind of slowed up to the fourth last and third last and, this lad winged by him at the third last. All this lad does is gallop, so I was happy to be there. It was a tough performance. Mark said he let himself down today on the ground, there was a nice dig in it. He didn’t let himself down at all the last day. It’s nice to have one like him. The first three will all make their name, I think, in the next few years. He’s a fine big horse that can go jumping fences, the same with the second horse. I could see Majolique staying over hurdles. Things didn’t go right for her but she’s a fair mare too.

Naas Sun, 22nd Feb, 2026  Star Of The Week He’s a gorgeous horse, he’s a model,. Kevin and Anna (Ross — daughter) bought him as a yearling and they couldn’t sell him in Doncaster as a three-year-old. Harold Kirk said he’d come back and buy him after he won his point-to-point but he came into us broken and (son) JD took a fancy to him. He has a good pal Jonathan Duffy and he recommended he buy him. The whole family have contributed. I’m delighted for Jonathan. He’ll have one more run and he’ll go chasing next year. You can see the way he jumps there. He’s a joy to train, never turns a hair. He was just a bit of a baby up in the north and ran a bit keen. Ricky said he was actually a bit asleep in front today. In our last nine runners I think we’ve had five seconds, three thirds and a fourth. It’s nice to get the head in front. We’ll see what mark he gets now. We’ll maybe see if there is something over Easter for him at Fairyhouse or Cork, once the ground stays soft. Two miles is fine for him and over fences that will be fine. He can work up from there. I’d like to start at two, ideally at Navan where we started Klairon (Davis), Native Upmanship and Soft Day and a few others. It’s a lovely track but that’s a long way away. Ricky gave him a lovely ride. He’s very under-rated, he got the fractions right and is a very good horseman. I’m lucky to have him riding for me.

Punchestown Mon, 26th Jan, 2026  Kobalt St Georges His mark over hurdles was tempting and he’s after coming to himself. We were disappointed for a while over hurdles, but fences seem to have changed him and he’s after getting to like the job. I thought Brendan (Keogh, owner) was coming over and I said I’d run the two of them, but the other horse (I’m Slippy) was disappointing. I was a bit concerned about the ground for this horse, but Phillip said he handled it very well. I suppose he was entitled to win off his mark once that improvement was there compared to his hurdle runs before. I’d imagine he’ll probably go back over fences.

He’s a good horse and the faster they went the better. He can do it every way. Years ago when you were looking at Big Buck’s and Inglis Drever, they always said they were behind the bridle the whole way and that’s the exact same way that he races. He’s a great horse and we’re lucky to have him. Jack was delighted and said he felt as good as ever. He didn’t do a lot when he got there! He pulls himself up but that’s what he is.

Leopardstown Sun, 28th Dec, 2025  Koktail Divin He was really good and we’re delighted with that. He jumped brilliant, Darragh was brilliant on him and he picked up really well. He’s had three runs so we’ll see what want to do now. Obviously the lads would love to go to Cheltenham so I’d imagine we’ll go there, and then it’s a matter of whether we’d have a run in between. The Dublin Racing Festival is a big meeting as well so we’ll see what everyone wants to do.

Leopardstown Sun, 28th Dec, 2025  Lazare De Star We knew he had improved a lot from Navan. He's a nice horse and has a nice way of going,. I think he's smart enough. I like the way he quickened off the home turn and put it to sleep fairly quick.
