Roscommon Mon, 28th Sep, 2026  Telegram Sam he’s been stepping forward after every run and we were hopeful today. Sean said he was a little bit keen going down the hill but still he did it nicely. We’ll see what mark he gets and might go for a rated novice hurdle. He’s a nice horse going forward but we won’t be too busy with him, as he’s only a four-year-old. That’s his fourth run, we’ll maybe give him another run and then chat and see what we’re going to do.

Roscommon Tue, 4th Aug, 2026  Another Challenge The horse has been a bit disappointing up until now, until he started jumping fences,. I was talking to Jimmy Mangan the other evening and he said to me that with this pedigree you normally see the best of these horses when they jump fences. I said ‘I hope you’re right Jimmy’ and he proved it this evening. He gave an exhibition of jumping; I couldn’t believe it. When he gave him a squeeze at the last, he went on fairly quickly. It’s great to get him going. He likes the ground and Phillip took the wider track for the slightly better ground. We’ve no plans, we’re delighted to win this.

Roscommon Tue, 4th Aug, 2026  She'll Be Kept Her wind’s not brilliant and she needs a little chance to breathe early and find her feet. Once she gets that, and her confidence is up, she seems to be going the right way. It was a fortnight since her last run so we might give her a little chance now. We’re absolutely delighted and I’m delighted for Alex Ryan, who went out on a limb to buy her and it’s paid off.

Ballinrobe Tue, 21st Jul, 2026  She'll Be Kept Winners have been scarce, so it was hard to be confident, but I was hopeful because she ran well at Limerick the last day on what was just her second run for us,. She stumbled coming down the hill there and, by the time she got organised, the bird had flown, but she kept galloping through the line which always gives you hope. She's honest, doesn't make a fuss about anything and gives you all she has. The horses have been running to their ability, and we had a young horse run well to be fourth in the first division. Phillip knew there'd be a dash on early to get out wide for the better ground, and he just took his time out there behind them. He says a summer fence will be within her compass, but we'll see how the handicapper reacts to this first of all. She's not rated high enough for anything at Galway, but I hope to have four or five runners there.

Killarney Fri, 17th Jul, 2026  Pets Georgina This is a nice mare. I’d say she’s way better than the ordinary and she’s a winter-type mare. She’s out of a very good mare. This one is the real deal. It was only her third run over hurdles, although you could say it was her second (badly hampered and unseated early at Ballinrobe). I was forced to go for a bumper as she got an RPR of 120 after being second. Just pure greenness beat her in Kilbeggan, or she would have won that novice hurdle. I said to JJ that he was on way the best horse in the race and he said he’d make the running then and do it the hard way. He said it was easier than it looked. She’ll go to Cork next. There is a three-mile novice there and also a three-mile graded race.

Sligo Tue, 9th Jun, 2026  Pets Georgina She had a really good run in a novice hurdle at Kilbeggan and is a talented mare. She's difficult to ride and difficult to train, and did a good bit wrong there. She pulled her way to the front, but still had enough to stay there. She's unnaturally tough. She's out a of a good mare (Missyspet) that the Hartes raced, who won three races. She'll go back hurdling now.

Ballinrobe Mon, 25th May, 2026  Tinto De Verano He's learning on the job and today was probably the best he's ever settled. He raced in the middle of them and would have learned a lot. He'd a nice run at Punchestown. I didn't really want to go two mile-six (furlongs) with him but we've another runner in the bumper and Cian won't be available in the next few weeks with the 15 (winners) or less races. He takes no work and that's one thing we've learned about him. He'll have a break now and, if he's not sold, we'll think about Galway or we might wait a bit longer into the autumn.

Punchestown Wed, 13th May, 2026  Porcupine Bank He has a good attitude and he tries. He’s very honest,. He probably likes that better ground and he could be a nice horse to tip on for the summer. He’ll be a grand horse and he’ll win his races in his own company.
