Butch Cassidy
jumping off at the start I had to give him a shake but in fairness to him, he got into a great rhythm and his jumping was so good. He fell asleep over the final three fences and was just doing enough but once I gave him a few reminders, he opened up well to the line. He is a fine big horse who we’ve always thought plenty of and he has put two wins back-to-back now. This will do his confidence the world of good and while he stays really well, is a classy stayer who also quickens up well. He handles that nice ground well and I’m sure they have a plan for him.

A Snow White Park
It was a great ride and we've had great fun with the mare, as she runs well most days,. I don't give Danny any instructions, he does his own thing and he knows the mare. She wants top of the ground and gets lost when it goes soft. She loved it today and we'll see where we go now. There are mares' chases for her and she has the option of going back hurdling as well.

She just didn’t handle Galway and we knew it was too bad to be true,. Normally I wouldn’t run her back this quickly but it looked like an attractive pot and there weren’t many entries so we decided to stick her in. I’m delighted now. The more positive tactics seem to be working with her. She can be tricky and she just likes things her own way. She did it well and that’s her third hurdle win so she’s paying her way. You forgive them for being a little bit tricky, and hard to deal with, when they are able to get you a win or two. She’s a nice mare. She’s in at Tramore next week and if she comes out of this well she’ll probbaly run.

She's a Walk In The Park and she does everything at a hundred miles an hour,. You could probably run her again tomorrow, she's that type. She's just tricky and takes plenty of riding at home. She dug her toes in and refused to race one day, and you just have to know her. The main thing was to get her to jump off today. She ran well in her first bumper at Punchestown on heavy, and today's ground was ideal for her.

She’s a very nice mare and I think she deserved her turn,. I think the maiden hurdle that she ran in the last day was particularly strong. The fourth came out and won very well since. We thought she’d win and she did. Hopefully there are more races in her, I think she is a mare that is improving with every run. Onwards and upwards hopefully. There is a two-mile-six novice in Killarney in a fortnight’s time and a good novice in Listowel in September, so there are plenty of races for her. That’s the road she’ll go and I think she’ll be capable of giving a good account of herself.

Putapoundinthejar
This has been a very lucky race for me and this is magic, as Ray Grehan is a local owner and is a great supporter of mine. It couldn't have worked out any better. From the time this horse came to me as a four-year-old, he just needed every year to mature and now he is coming to himself. I ran down to the start as I could see he was getting a bit upset. You're always trying to get them to the start without them boiling over and I took off his flash noseband, so luckily I got it off in time. I sprinted down and thought I was 20 again!. I didn't get to see all the race but everywhere I did see, he was travelling so well. He (King) was where you wanted him to be at all stages and for a lad of his age, he is some talent. I haven't seen a lot with his talent in a lot of years.

When the phone rang to say this horse would be sent back (having sold for 275,000 pounds in December 2024), I wasn't worried. Normally I would be, but when I said it to John (Mahon, owner) that the horse didn't have any major problem, he said he'd keep him,. We've had offers in the last year but every time I've rang John, he said not to ring anymore unless that they have X amount. In the end, I gave up ringing him back.

Putapoundinthejar
He's not an easy horse, but your man (King) is just an excellent rider - what a rider!. I shouldn't be saying it, but you'd love to see him in one of the top yards, but then he wouldn't be able to ride for me! He's on a par with Jack Kennedy and those boys. I haven't seen anything as good since the likes of (Ruby) Walsh. It is local and when you see a nice race like that, 60 grand, you kind of put him (Putapoundinthejar) by a month or two in advance.

Wild Bill Hickok
We bought him to do this job, a four-year-old chaser — that was the idea,. He’s won two now and we’re over the moon with him. A bit of juice in the ground today, I’d say, helped him. It was as quick as he wanted it both times in Wexford but we felt the second time we had to run him for experience. He freshened up since that and we were very happy with him coming today. Obviously we didn’t think we’d beat the favourite, and turn that form around, but we knew with juice in the ground he’d get closer. We’re very happy with that. The idea was always the Grade 3 novice in Galway and he has lots of experience now going there. We’ll let him freshen up and if we’re happy with him that’s where we’ll go.

Butch Coolidge
He’s a year older now and it (improvement) goes with that family,. said Kelly. A hood was a big help to him as well, he just lost his race at the start a few days last year. I’m delighted for the lads, the horse was working really well at home and we would have been disappointed going home if he didn’t go close. You never know with racehorses, I had a horse that we liked a lot in Listowel today and it just didn’t happen for him. He’s a nice horse, jumps well and jumps a fence well. We’re starting the season on the right note. He won it with a nice bit in hand. We entered him in it thinking it might be a worse race but it wasn’t the worst race in the world for an ‘unplaced maiden’. I’m delighted and very grateful to the lads for sending on these horses.

She enjoyed herself out in front and I’m delighted to get that with her. It’s coming towards the end of her season but they did a lovely job with the ground here and we were able to run on it. We just decided to change things up with her. She has been frustrating to train, she’s had a few races won and kind of snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. She did it well there and maybe with more positive tactics there might be another one in her. They are doing a good job of watering so we’ll keep an eye on the ground. She’s fit and well, and she’s fresh as she hasn’t had a hard season. She might appear out again.

Kiltealy Park
It didn’t look likely and I’d say yer man must have been 1/100 jumping the last!. It’s nice to get her back on track; she had a few disappointing runs. She was very unlucky in the Blazers one year and then we put blinkers on her and she was a bit keen. We said we’d leave them off and try to settle her. It was ideal today in a four-runner race to lob around and get her confidence back. It’s great to win something that didn’t look likely. It looked all over and I would have been happy with second, but she galloped well to the line. We’ll see where we go from here.

Wild Bill Hickok
He was a horse that we knew as a young horse and we kept an eye on him. When he came up for sale we were in the mix for him. The owner (Patrick Sheanon) has backed me this year and it’s a pleasing result for him and a lovely start. I’m delighted. He was impressive and he couldn’t pull him up. We’re not getting carried away with that race as it fell away a bit, but he’s a nice prospect going forward. We bought him with the idea of going four-year-old chasing, that he would get the allowances. It’s starting to work out for us now. We had him as a young horse for Coolmore and Gerry Aherne had recommended him back to me, and that’s the way it worked out.

Come Walk With Me
We had always hoped that he was a smart horse. He’s a seven-year-old and we had a few little niggly problems along the way. This year we said we’d go one way or the other with him. I was going to keep him hurdling but he’s never won a hurdle, he’s been second a few times. We said we’d go chasing as we knew he loved jumping and this was the route to go. I’m thrilled with that performance today. He had plenty of weight to carry and I felt it was a much better race than the last day. He’ll have his holidays now and we’ll put a plan in place for next year. We could maybe step him into a Grade 3 or 2, whatever comes his way.

I Walked The Line
I picked up a ban at Cheltenham and Luke has been with us a couple of years, he is a brilliant rider and a fantastic horseman, so I was delighted to give him a chance and he took it with both hands. He is a good horse and I'm hoping he'll be an Aintree, Cheltenham horse next year. We might go to Stratford with him this year at the end of May. It fits in well. He is only five and he'll be six for Cheltenham next year, so he is young but hopefully we'll have him for a couple of years. If you have a Billaway type and can go to Cheltenham, Aintree and Punchestown every year, they are some great races. We are looking for a replacement for Billaway and he might be it. A better-jumping replacement!

Miss Corby
After all my seconds lately, it is nice to get one past the post. We might step her up now to three miles and she'll go on good ground as she has won on it in the past. That's Harry's second winner for me and he rides with his head, very much like his father (Charlie).
