Wexford Sat, 8th Aug, 2026  West Away That was his second run for us. He was off the track there for a long time. He got a run back, he just blew up the last day. Hopefully he'll improve again another bit. He's coming back from a long lay-off. It was a nice run. It took him a while to warm up into that race but he was strong at the finish. Maybe he will step up in trip the next time.

Roscommon Mon, 6th Jul, 2026  Western Model I’m delighted with that, he’s a grand sweet horse,. The girl that works for me, Sarah (Lionti), rode him in a charity race at the Curragh and he really came alive after it. He really enjoyed it and it sharpened him up, over a mile-and-a-half. I’d say if you followed those charity races and watched the horses on their next runs they are very sweet because the jockeys can’t hit them and they enjoy it. Sarah knows him well. She’s been with me on work experience as an equine vet physio and she’s been a great help. He had a good run in Downpatrick but he just got outpaced. Sean knows him well and gave him a lovely ride. He travelled so sweet today. I think we might go to Galway with him, I think there is a 0-110 for him. He should be well handicapped back over fences as well. He’s had good form before so he’s probably just back to that.

Punchestown Tue, 28th Apr, 2026  Western Fold That is great and while I was nervous of the three miles, the last two times we tried him over it, we rode him too handy,. We rode him cold today and it was a good performance. Some horses come to the end of their season around now but he has been busier than most and is one of the top five earners this season. We initially thought about going for the American Grand National, a race Zanahiyr won last year for us, and while we have tried Western Fold in open company in Ireland and it didn't work out, the American race is a Grade 1 so is nothing to be sneezed at. I'm not saying we won't go to America but there is also the PWC Champion Chase at Gowran in October for him too and maybe we could pot hunt too. The key to this horse is the ground and he is a stone better on it. He will have a little break now and while I'd love to go back for the Galway Plate, he might be too high in the weights after today.

Tramore Mon, 20th Apr, 2026  Tell Us This He has been consistent at a level all season and, back down in grade today, I suppose he was entitled to win it. It was an opportunity to win a race and whatever will be, will be. If he's not sold we can mix it with him, he is open to run in anything.
