Navan Sat, 28th Feb, 2026  James du Berlais it was a good performance and I thought they went a good gallop. It is very heavy ground down the back straight and, riding this horse, I'm a hostage to fortune as I have to ride him like that. There also wasn't a whole lot left in the tank from the back of the last fence. He's a great horse, I'm delighted to win on him and really enjoy riding him. He's a really talented horse when the scenario sets up for him. He ran in a Champion Hurdle (finishing ninth in 2021) and he was second in a Topham (2024) and fifth in the race last year.

I was hoping he'd run well but we've obviously had a quiet run there recently, so it is nice to get a winner. He really appreciated that ground and the trip. Obviously, he is going to go up a grade I'd imagine. There's the novice handicap back here in March, so that might be one.

Limerick Sun, 28th Dec, 2025  You Proof He was good. I thought the de Bromhead horse (King’s Bucks) had fair form from a Cheltenham graded race and was going to be difficult to beat, but I travelled smooth behind him. He got the job done and ran away nicely at the finish. He’s a good horse and jumped well through the race. He was always giving me the feel that I could pick up and go. I’d say he could be a strong stayer in the spring.

I said ‘well done’ to Paul and he said ‘I hadn’t much to do with it’. The horse gallops and once the tape goes down, he’s gone. I haven’t any plan made and I wasn’t sure that he’d handle this ground. The fact that he’s won on it is a big bonus and we may plan to stay training him for the winter. We might find something for him in the new year.

Down Royal Sat, 1st Nov, 2025  Envoi Allen What a horse, incredible! Amazing, what else can you say?. Super ride from Darragh and fair play to everyone at home – Davy Roche and everyone involved – they had him absolutely spot on for today. Aren’t we so lucky to have him?. He has just been an incredible horse throughout his career and he just keeps coming back.

Limerick Sun, 19th Oct, 2025  Kir he is a lovely big horse and Josh gave him a super ride. He jumped brilliantly and just idled in front. I was a bit nervous coming to the second-last but after idling a bit, he stayed on well. I think he will come forward from the run and we'll step him back up in trip again. We'll look for something similar or a rated novice next. Fair play to Josh, who is a great little rider.
