Thurles Thu, 19th Feb, 2026  Barnahash Mason He jumped well early and his jumping is generally good but, whether he tweaked something or not, I thought he was beaten after making a mistake at the top of the hill. For the mistakes he made, he did it well in the end and you'd be very impressed. You wouldn't be going to any other track only here, due to the bad weather, as he isn't suited by heavy winter ground. He had been ready for a point-to-pointing some time ago but had a small setback, although hopefully now that was all for luck as he is winning. I think he'll be better on nice ground.

Naas Fri, 9th Jan, 2026  I'll Sort That He stays so well and is so genuine. It was a big ask coming up here but thankfully he’s pulled it out. I’ve played the race over in my head a hundred times in the last two weeks. I was toying with the idea of dropping him in last this morning, but I said I’d stick with the plan as when he gets to the front, he dangles his ear and waits. For me this is like a Junior C player being allowed to play in an All-Ireland. I’d love to have played in an All-Ireland Final, but I won’t get on the team. In this scenario I’m able to do it. Going to the start I’ve Paul Townend on one side of me and Jack Kennedy on the other. I’m thinking I’m not supposed to be here, but I try and blend in!. He works very well. We have got a couple of graded horses at home and he’s able to easily put them in their place carrying my brother Jack who is 13 or 14 stone. I didn’t mind not having a hurdle in the straight as I thought he was better than most of these in bumpers and if he was there turning in, he would gallop to the line. I saw Paddy Mullins coming and thought ‘ah no not you’ as he’s beaten me so many times in bumpers! That’s unbelievable, I can’t believe it!

Leopardstown Sat, 27th Dec, 2025  Barnahash Mason He had a nice run and has improved and come forward. I’m delighted and he’s done it well. I was worried that they would go too slow and he’d get caught in a sprint. He’s a lazy, unassuming type but he wasn’t for catching there anyway. I’d imagine he’ll go back over hurdles. He jumps well and jumps a fence well. He was schooled to go point-to-pointing. He’d have no bother staying three miles, and Alan said he had a job pulling him up after the line.

Galway Sun, 26th Oct, 2025  I'll Sort That it is hard to say what would have happened but if I had to ride the race again, I don’t think I’d have jumped off where I did (in second place). I got a horrid spin off him, so would have been better off jumping off last, but you live and learn and I’ve learned an awful lot about him. You think you know all about them when riding them out at home but I suppose he was a big baby and is waking up. He got away with it today but jumping off handy again wouldn’t be a good idea. Being a one-trick pony is grand when you are making the running, but I was in the wrong position today and I think there’ll be a better performance in him as he was so free the whole way. The next day we’ll either pop out (and lead) or drop in and I wouldn’t rule out going to Navan in three weeks for the Monksfield Novice next.
