Ballinrobe Tue, 21st Jul, 2026  No Mon No Fun It's great to get one on the board and I got a good kick out of that, there's a lot more work involved with training a winner compared to just turning up at the track and riding one. We fancied him at Limerick, but he didn't quite get home over two and a half and the easy track here helped him. He's always worked like a nice horse, and a quick enough one. He lost confidence after falling in his first point-to-point, and the run the last day helped him to get it back. Like most of ours, he has a 'for sale' sign!. I'll probably do much the same as my father. We'll try and keep a few nice horses for the track, but the bread and butter is buying young horses, bringing them on and producing them, and then selling them on. I still have my jockey's licence, so if I can find a nice enough horse, I'll be ready to ride it.

Killarney Mon, 11th May, 2026  Airds Moss He is a nice horse who had a very good first bumper run, but is still green and a baby. Alistair (Spittal, owner from Ayrshire) had him with Rob Tector in point-to-points and the horse came highly recommended to me by Rob. Tim Nolan (Jamestown House Stud) bought and produced him and did a great job too. He backed up his Cork run, which is great, and this Alistair's second bumper winner from two horses with us. He is here since Saturday, so is going home a happy man.

Punchestown Thu, 30th Apr, 2026  Bob Olinger He read the script thankfully; he was brilliant and Darragh was brilliant on him. What a horse to have had. He’s given us so many incredible days. He’s got a gear and he’s just pure class; he always has been. Davy Roche, my assistant, said he’s the best horse that’s ever come through our place. That’s a big statement and he is probably a bit biased because he adores him, he’s like his second child. I’m delighted for everyone at home, obviously the Achesons and Darragh, what a day he’s had. He’s a class rider and he gave him a brilliant ride. It’s really special, it’s one of the top ones. For him to go out like that is what he deserves, it’s typical of him. We’ve had some amazing years with him. Brian rang me the other day to say that’s what he was planning to do and I just said ‘spot on, perfect’. We’ve been so lucky to be part of his story. Rachael won the Stayers Hurdle on him, the year of covid when he won the Ballymore what a ride she gave him. Then we lost him for a little bit but Ger Kelly (vet) in Fethard was brilliant and he found the issue. He went back to Robbie(Power)’s and came back a different horse, the same as he was before. This is one you savour, just a special day. You dream that they can end like that but plenty of time they don’t. To see him go out like that is just phenomenal.

Tramore Sun, 19th Apr, 2026  Tedworth That was a pleasant surprise to tell you the truth. I didn't think he'd be forward enough. I hadn't a whole lot done with him, but maybe he is better that way, running fresh, sometimes they are. I left the cheekpieces off him, I had them on last year. I thought he might have been a bit lazy, but it didn't seem to make any difference to him today.
